New Zealand IT companies join forces

Two New Zealand companies, Intergen and Fusion5, have joined forces to provide Microsoft business solutions to the local market.

Called Interfusion, the joint venture offers local mid to larger-sized companies a range of Microsoft business and accounting solutions. Specialist Microsoft Navision, Axapta and CRM implementation and support services will be offered along side comprehensive integration services including BizTalk, SharePoint, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, and mobile solutions.

Intergen is a Microsoft Gold Partner and New Zealand's most experienced provider of Microsoft based solutions. It brings years of technical expertise with Microsoft products to the joint venture. It has around 95 staff in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Sydney.

Fusion5 is a highly skilled consultancy firm which will manage the business implementation of Interfusion. It brings its recently acquired Navision Implementation business of Ernst & Young along with its existing Axapta business to the joint venture. Fusion5 has nearly 50 people in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.

“We expect that Interfusion will be welcomed with open arms by mid-sized New Zealand companies,” says Intergen Managing Director Tony Stewart. “They get a tried and true product designed by the world’s leading software company, Microsoft, implemented and supported by New Zealand companies.

“Intergen and Fusion5 understand the local business market, and the legal and competitive markets in which businesses operate. The service delivery will incorporate Microsoft technology and services from Intergen and Fusion5.”

Fusion5 Director Rebecca Tohill said that Interfusion will bring two experienced and competent teams together to provide a single supplier service to those customers ready to leverage their ERP investments with extended Microsoft solutions.

“In establishing our Joint Venture with Intergen we believe we have positioned ourselves uniquely in the market. In the past there have been companies with good ERP skills and companies with good technology skills. With the establishment of Interfusion we now have an organisation that can provide end to end Microsoft solutions delivered by one team of highly skilled business and technical consultants. The benefit to customers is knowing that their investments in Microsoft ERP will be leveraged fully across the organisation resulting in higher user satisfaction and improved return on investment.
