Moya Radley - Intergenite Profile
What do you do?
I am a SharePoint Consultant in the Portals, Content and Collaboration space, working in Christchurch.
How do you make a difference?
I’m academically trained in Social Anthropology, and having been touched by information technology, my focus and interest has always been to understand how users accept technology, and to improve methods for user experience in this realm. I make a difference by applying techniques that are employed by traditional social science in the workplace in order to uncover “non-verbalised” issues and problems in technology implementations.
What do you love about your job?
Seeing the difference that SharePoint makes to a business when it is well implemented. Helping users understand and embrace technology. Encouraging users toward an understanding of the business benefits of SharePoint. Helping users through the often difficult and frustrating teething problems encountered during implementations. Find creative change management techniques and training methods.
A bit about yourself…
My husband and I are recent migrants to New Zealand from South Africa, landing in Christchurch from South Africa on September 4, the day of the first Christchurch quake. We see life in Christchurch as an enormous opportunity to contribute to the beautiful country that has provided us with a new home. I am goofy about anything with four-feet and was actively involved in the domestic animal rescue space in South Africa. Once settled in Christchurch, I plan to become involved in domestic animal welfare and volunteer initiatives in the city during my spare time.
