About Us

Sally Jansen van Vuuren - Principal Consultant

Sally leads Intergen’s knowledge management consultancy practice, and specialises in helping organisations make sense of their business to fully leverage its potential.

Sally’s experience spans training and development, communications, information management, business process improvement and strategy development. Most recently, Sally developed a leading edge knowledge strategy and long-term programme of initiatives for Crown Law. 

Sally’s PhD specialises in inter-organisational collaboration and knowledge sharing in the public sector. She also holds a BCA (Hons) Information Systems and B.InfoTech. She has authored papers in several peer-reviewed journals and publications and is a reviewer or a number of information and knowledge related journals and conferences. Sally has lectured in the field of Strategic Information Systems Management at Victoria University, and is a guest lecturer in information related subjects. She is a guest speaker at IQPC's 6th Annual Strategic Information Management Conference, 2008.

Sally sits on the Management Committee of the New Zealand Knowledge Management Network, and specialises in the concept of self-organisation and complexity theory as tools for organisational change.

 

Alex Natelli - Consultant

Alex is an experienced knowledge management professional at Intergen. Initially an online strategy and information designer, Alex moved into knowledge management to promote greater collaboration and organisational learning. Alex has 15 years experience in private and public sector organisations in New Zealand and in the USA. Before joining Intergen, Alex pioneered knowledge management thinking at Land Information New Zealand where he led the development of communities of practice and expertise directories.

Continually inspired by the latest practice and research, Alex focuses on developing narrative techniques and knowledge process improvements that engage people’s natural intellectual curiosity. He is an advocate for interventions that fit a client’s specific environment and approaches projects with a desire to empower self-sufficient programmes.

Throughout his career, Alex has enhanced his work experience with a range of continuing education. He has completed a variety of Business Analysis, Communications, Management and Technology training. He is a member of the Internet Society of New Zealand and Knowledge Management New Zealand.
