Reviewing Project Progress
These meetings and reports are crucial to the successful maintenance of a harmonious working partnership. Through these reports and at these meetings we would expect to update on progress against timelines across all projects, review service quality, and plan upcoming activities. All of these meetings are minuted including agreed actions, and any changes to project priorities circulated. Additionally, we review progress against budget, at frequent (usually weekly) intervals.
The Intergen project manager leads these meetings with the help where necessary of the Client Relationship Manager. Our Lead Developer, Lead Creative and other team members will attend as required.
Managing Project Risk
A key component of the MSF Framework is the development and maintenance of a Risk Register. Every project contains risks. Key to project success is the recognition of these risks, and the development of mitigation and contingency plans including actions owned by team members. Progress against these actions is reviewed at our work in progress meetings.
Slippage, whatever its source, poses a risk to the timely and successful completion of the project. Where this slippage is in any way foreseeable it would be included as a risk to be managed through the Risk Register and would be proactively managed through a mitigation and contingency plan. Where it appears that a risk is likely to be realised, i.e. to move from a potential project risk to an actual project issue, it will become subject to the agreed contingency plan actions that had been formulated to minimise its impact on the project as a whole.
Quantifying Project Success
Project performance is determined by our achievement of quantifiable Critical Success Factors, agreed as a part of the Envisioning process under the MSF Framework. Performance against Critical Success Factors is debriefed in the Stabilisation Phase.
Additionally, we conduct a full and frank project review meeting at the completion of each project. This is in addition to the quarterly Relationship Review meetings.
