Emma Barrett

General Manager, Central 

Emma is Intergen’s General Manager, Central Region and heads up a team of 75 technical specialists who are responsible for the successful delivery of our portfolio of Wellington based projects.

Emma joined Intergen in 2004 when there were only 67 employees as a Dynamics CRM Consultant and has since moved on to lead the Wellington Project Management Office before being promoted to General Manager, Central Region, in April 2008.  As well as ensuring the successful delivery of our Wellington projects, and managing the capability and development of our Solution Delivery team, Emma has spent a lot of the last two and half years developing and maturing our National PMO framework.

Emma graduated from Otago University with a Bachelor of Commerce (Information Systems) and Diploma for Graduates (Finance) before working for large multi-national IT vendors in NZ, Sydney and London.

Through her twelve years' experience in the IT industry, Emma has worked in team management, project management, technical consulting and programming roles gaining hands on experience from all stages of the software development life cycle across a range of industries.  The variety of this experience provides an excellent background for overseeing the ever changing and challenging solutions that are designed and delivered by her Wellington based team.
