Cheryl Adams

Regional Manager, Dunedin

Cheryl is Intergen’s Regional Manager in Dunedin and heads up a rapidly growing team of technical specialists who provide business solutions to Intergen’s Otago- and Southland-based clients.

Cheryl graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree from Canterbury University and took these solution optimisation and logical thinking skills into the field of Project Management. She started in the Mechanical Engineering arena, specifically in Hydro Energy Generation and then moving into Energy Performance Contracting. In 1999 the second wave of the deregulation of the New Zealand Electricity Market created an opportunity for Cheryl to apply her Project Management skills to IT projects – and explicitly Customer Information Management Systems.

In 2003 the call of the South saw Cheryl move to Dunedin where she spent a couple of years working as a Project Manager in the Resource Consenting field. It wasn’t long however before she found another IT opportunity, this time as Project Manager, and then General Manager, for an award-winning television graphics company. After seven years working with the immovable deadlines that are the nature of sports graphics delivered on an international stage, she moved to Intergen where she’s loving the opportunity to provide business solutions to kiwi businesses.
