Chris is Director, Strategy and Innovation. His appointment was the result of Intergen’s acquisition in February 2007 of Kognition, a small but world-class team of specialists in Mobility and Smart Client development. Kognition’s strengths in developing innovative Microsoft-based solutions, coupled with Intergen’s status as New Zealand’s leading innovative Microsoft solutions company, cements Intergen’s position as the country’s biggest exclusive Microsoft provider. Chris’s role as the champion and driver of Strategy and Innovation further builds upon Intergen’s focus on and commitment to ongoing innovation.
Chris established Kognition in Dunedin in 2003 and has worked with high-level national and multinational clients such as Microsoft and Telecom New Zealand. Kognition has worked on a number of significant projects in early stage technology including developing sample code and training material for .NET 3.0. They have also worked closely with several of their clients in strategic IP sharing joint venture arrangements. To add further weight to his Microsoft credentials, Chris is one of only two Microsoft regional directors in New Zealand and is a Microsoft MVP (Mobile Application Development). Chris has co-authored several books on internet development technologies and is a regular speaker at industry events around the world.
Chris’s focus is to broaden Intergen’s offerings in the mobility, international projects and product development spaces. His role involves working closely with enterprise class clients to assist them in propelling their strategy and maximising innovation, undertaking ‘adventurous’, high risk, high return projects wherever possible to add value to the client. Chris’s vision is to revolutionise large businesses through dynamism, passion and leading-edge innovation.
Known for his evangelical, ‘arm-waving’ style and his enthusiasm and drive, Chris brings an abundance of excitement and energy to every project he undertakes.
