Webstock - a designer's view

And so Webstock passes for another year. I'm still reeling a bit from trying to digest two whole days of unfettered web standards conjecture, opinion and contention! It was always going to be a tough act to follow, the inaugural event in 2006 having been met with rapturous acclaim. Expectation was running very high. So what do you do to cap that? Answer: you come back bigger and brighter than ever! Once again, the organisers totally outdid themselves, offering a festival of the senses for geeks and creatives alike. ... read full post

Webstock - a sponsor's view

Intergen was invited to once again be a sponsor of the Webstock conference held in Wellington Feb 13th & 14th. Webstock is not just another “web conference” but rather a web experience. The combination of a strong line-up of international speakers and an audience there to learn ensures interaction well beyond typical lecture style conferences. New Zealand's advantage

I’ve worked in the information technology industry for over twenty years now, and I've seen a lot of changes. One of the biggest changes - one that has had a significant impact on the way we work, and certainly has a huge impact on our day to day lives at Intergen - is the shrinking size of the globe. ... read full post
